On 13th October, 2025, the Department of Sociology, MDKG College, Dibrugarh, organized a programme titled “Showcase of Indigenous People and their Culture” to highlight the rich cultural heritage of various indigenous communities of Assam in collaboration with IQAC of the college. The Department of Geography, MDKG College, organized an invited lecture on “Doing Culture in Geography: Space, Power and Identity” on 6th September 2025. The session was conducted by Daisy Rani Hazarika, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, Arya Vidyapeeth College (Autonomous), Guwahati, Assam, who is also an alumna of MDKG College.
