Manohari Devi Kanoi Girls’ College, Dibrugarh, successfully organised a one-day International-level Workshop-cum-Masterclass on “Research and Filmmaking Using Mobile Phones” on 27 October 2026. The programme was organised by the Research, Innovation and Extension Committee in collaboration with IQAC, ACTA Unit, and MDKG Students’ Union.

The masterclass featured Mr. Arunjit Borah, a renowned award-winning Assamese filmmaker, as the Resource Person. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Anup Jyoti Bharali, Principal of the College, and coordinated by Dr. Bornali Nath Dowerah. The event was graced by Vice Principal Prof. Aniruddha Dutta, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ashwini Machey, Dr. Punyaprova Baruah and Dr. Jogesh Das of the ACTA MDKG College Unit, faculty members, and student participants.

Through live demonstrations and hands-on training using their own mobile devices, students actively engaged in the filmmaking process and gained practical insights into creative visual expression. The interactive approach received positive feedback from participants. The MDKG Students’ Union provided active volunteer support throughout the session.

The programme concluded successfully with the distribution of e-certificates, reinforcing the College’s commitment to experiential learning, research communication, innovation, and creative skill development.
