Report on Six-Day NET/JRF Coaching Programme, 2026

The Department of Assamese, Manohari Devi Kanoi Girls’ College, Dibrugarh, successfully organized a Six-Day NET/JRF Coaching Programme from 22 June to 27 June 2026 with the objective of providing systematic guidance and academic support to students and aspiring researchers preparing for the UGC-NET examination. The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. Anup Jyoti Bharali, Principal, Manohari Devi Kanoi Girls’ College, in the presence of Dr. Punyaprova Boruah, Ms. Monikha Konwar, and Dr. Chandan Jyoti Chutia. In his inaugural address, Dr. Anup Jyoti Bharali emphasized the significance of the UGC-NET/JRF examination in higher education and encouraged the participants to pursue their academic goals with dedication, perseverance, and a strong research aptitude.
The programme featured a series of insightful academic sessions conducted by distinguished resource persons. The sessions were delivered by Dr. Mitali Sonowal, Assistant Professor, Department of Education; Dr. Dimpee Baruah, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics; Ms. Deepa Pradhan, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography; Ms. Anwesha Saikia, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics; Dr. Chandan Jyoti Chutia, Assistant Professor, Department of Assamese; Ms. Farnaj Yasmin Rahman, Teaching Associate, Department of Assamese; Ms. Pahari Dehingia, Teaching Associate, Department of Assamese; Mr. Mriganka Das, Teaching Associate, Department of History; all from Manohari Devi Kanoi Girls’ College, Dibrugarh. In addition, Ms. Tina Sonowal and Mr. Ibrahim Ansari, Research Scholars (JRF), Department of Assamese, Dibrugarh University, also served as resource persons. Their expert lectures covered important areas of the UGC-NET syllabus, including teaching aptitude, research methodology, Assamese language and literature, literary criticism, linguistics, and effective examination strategies, enabling the participants to strengthen their conceptual understanding and examination preparedness.
The programme received an enthusiastic response from students and NET/JRF aspirants. The interactive lectures, discussions, doubt-clearing sessions, and practice-oriented guidance created a vibrant academic environment and motivated the participants to prepare for competitive examinations with greater confidence, clarity, and determination.
The valedictory session was held on 27 June 2026 in the gracious presence of Mr. Aniruddha Dutta, HOD, Department of Assamese, and Dr. Ashwini Mache, Coordinator, IQAC, Manohari Devi Kanoi Girls’ College. The session was also attended by faculty members of the department of Assamese and a few distinguished resource persons. On the occasion, they appreciated the initiative of the Department of Assamese and encouraged the participants to continue their dedicated preparation for the UGC-NET/JRF examination. The participants shared their valuable feedback, expressing their appreciation for the academic quality and usefulness of the programme.
