A State Level Lecture on Hybrid mode was organised by NEIGS in collaboration with the Department of Geography, MDKG College on 15/09/26. Addressing the audience, our respected Resource Person, Dr. B.K. Kar, Professor and former Head of Department of Geography, Gauhati University spoke about “Quantification in Geography: Its relevance and applications”. Prof. B.K. Kar’s enlightening lecture was mainly targeted towards the students and they have been greatly benefited by it.
Dr. A.K. Bharali, Principal of the college in his welcome address spoke about the significance of quantification. Dr. N. Deka, Associate Prof., Dept. of Geography, Gauhati University and General Secretary of NEIGS spoke about the objectives of NEIGS and organising such programs.
The program was attended by around 120 students of the department, and sufficient number of students and faculty members from DHSK College, Barama College, Goalpara College, Sivsagar Girls’ College, students and research scholars of Gauhati University. Dr. A. Machey (Co-ordinator, IQACMDKGC) and Dr. R. Majumder, HoD of Philosophy of the college attended the lecture.
